Focus isn’t just about willpower—it’s about how your brain is wired.
Many people believe ADHD is simply "can't sit still," but in adults and teens, it often looks like chronic overwhelm.
Difficulty staying on task: Starting projects but rarely finishing them.
Executive Dysfunction: Forgetting appointments, losing keys, or "time blindness."
Restlessness: A racing mind or impulsivity in conversations and spending.
BonPsy Insight: ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition affecting the brain's executive functions—the management system of the brain. It is not a behavior problem; it is a regulation problem.
Our Approach: We assess attention span, working memory, and behavioral regulation. We distinguish ADHD from anxiety, trauma, or burnout to ensure your care plan is accurate and actionable.
-
Anger isn’t always loud—sometimes it is the only defense mechanism you have left.
When irritability becomes your default state, it is often a symptom of an underlying unmet need or unregistered emotion.
Explosive Reactions: intense outbursts over minor frustrations.
Physiological Arousal: Difficulty physically calming down once triggered.
Defensiveness: Feeling constantly misunderstood or "on edge."
BonPsy Insight: Chronic anger is often a "secondary emotion"—a protective shield covering up deeper feelings of fear, hurt, or shame. It can also be a symptom of Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED).
Our Approach: We evaluate impulse control and psychological triggers. Whether anger presents as aggression or silent withdrawal, our testing decodes the root cause to guide effective emotional regulation strategies.
-
When worry becomes constant, and "calm" feels unreachable.
Anxiety is more than just stress; it is a persistent physiological state of "fight or flight."
Racing Thoughts: The "what-if" loop that prevents sleep or focus.
Avoidance: Skipping social events or work tasks to escape discomfort.
Physical Tension: Unexplained headaches, stomach issues, or tight muscles.
BonPsy Insight: Anxiety disorders (Generalized Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety) hijack the brain's amygdala, causing it to perceive threats where there are none.
Our Approach: We evaluate the severity of symptoms and distinguish generalized anxiety from specific phobias or trauma responses. This clarity helps in selecting the right therapy or medication management.
-
Neurodivergence isn’t a deficit—it’s a different way of experiencing the world. Autism looks different in every individual, especially in high-masking adults and females who may have gone undiagnosed for years.
Social Nuance: Difficulty interpreting sarcasm, facial expressions, or social cues.
Sensory Processing: Overwhelm from loud noises, textures, or lights.
Specialized Focus: Deep, intense interests and a preference for routine.
BonPsy Insight: Autism is a spectrum of neurotypes characterized by differences in communication and sensory processing. It is not something to be "cured," but understood.
Our Approach: We assess developmental history and cognitive markers across all age groups. Our goal is to clarify the diagnosis so families and individuals can leverage their neurodivergent strengths.
-
When emotions feel like third-degree burns: intense, raw, and overwhelming.
BPD impacts how you see yourself and how you relate to others, often leading to a fear of abandonment.
Relational Instability: Relationships that swing from "I love you" to "I hate you."
Fear of Abandonment: Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined rejection.
Identity Disturbance: Feeling like you don't know who you really are or shifting personalities to fit in.
BonPsy Insight: BPD is a disorder of emotional regulation and interpersonal functioning. Individuals with BPD often have a "thin emotional skin," feeling emotions deeper and longer than others.
Our Approach: We provide a sensitive, non-judgmental evaluation to identify personality patterns. Diagnosing BPD accurately is the first step toward specialized therapies like DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) that can be life-changing.
-
Mood swings that disrupt your sense of self and stability.
Bipolar disorder is often misunderstood as simple moodiness, but it involves distinct, sustained cycles of energy and mood.
Manic/Hypomanic Episodes: Periods of intense energy, little sleep, or grandiose ideas.
Depressive Episodes: Crashing into deep fatigue, hopelessness, or emptiness.
Impulsivity: Risky decisions regarding money, relationships, or safety during highs.
The Clinical Insight: Unlike the rapid mood shifts of BPD, Bipolar Disorder cycles typically last for days or weeks. It is biologically rooted in brain chemistry regulation.
Our Approach: We differentiate Bipolar I and II from other mood conditions. Our process clarifies the duration and intensity of your cycles, helping you build a treatment plan that stabilizes your mood without dulling your life.
-
Protecting the best interests of the child amidst family transition. Divorce and custody disputes are high-stress environments where the well-being of the child must be the priority.
Parenting Capacity: Assessing each parent’s ability to meet the child’s emotional and developmental needs.
Co-Parenting Potential: evaluating communication styles and the ability to support the child’s relationship with the other parent.
Psychological Impact: Identifying how family conflict is affecting the child’s mental health.
The Clinical Insight: Custody evaluations are among the most complex assessments in psychology. They require a holistic view of the family system, looking for patterns of alienation, attachment issues, or high-conflict dynamics.
Our Approach: We approach these evaluations with strict neutrality and a child-centered focus. Our goal is to provide the court with a clear roadmap for a custody arrangement that minimizes trauma and maximizes stability for the child.
-
When motivation fades and everything feels heavy.
Depression is not just "sadness"—it is a pervasive slowing down of the mind and body.
Anhedonia: Loss of interest in hobbies or people you once loved.
Physical Changes: Unexplained fatigue, sleep disruption, or appetite shifts.
Cognitive Fog: Difficulty making decisions or concentrating.
BonPsy Insight: Major Depressive Disorder impacts the brain's hippocampus and neurotransmitters. It is often a biological condition that requires more than just "positive thinking" to resolve.
Our Approach: We evaluate mood, cognition, and daily functioning. We help distinguish clinical depression from grief, burnout, or thyroid issues so that treatment can be targeted and effective.
-
Validating the invisible struggle through documentation. When mental health prevents you from working, proving it to an agency can be an exhausting bureaucratic battle.
Functional Impairment: Documenting exactly how symptoms prevent you from completing work tasks.
Severity of Symptoms: Moving beyond diagnosis to measure the intensity and frequency of issues like panic attacks or depressive episodes.
Cognitive Decline: Measuring focus, memory, and processing speed deficits that impact employability.
The Clinical Insight: A diagnosis alone is often not enough for a disability claim. Agencies need to know what you cannot do because of your condition. "Functional limitations" are the key to a successful claim.
Our Approach: We conduct thorough evaluations to provide the objective medical evidence required by the VA, Social Security, or private disability insurers. We translate your daily struggles into the clinical data needed to support your claim.
-
More than just a tantrum—chronic irritability that disrupts childhood.
DMDD is a diagnosis for children and adolescents who experience severe temper outbursts that are out of proportion to the situation.
Severe Outbursts: Verbal or behavioral explosions occurring 3+ times a week.
Persistent Irritability: The child is angry or cranky nearly every day, even between outbursts.
Functional Impairment: Behavior disrupts school, home life, and peer relationships.
BonPsy Insight: Unlike Bipolar Disorder, which is episodic, DMDD is chronic. It is an intense difficulty regulating frustration that requires different interventions than standard ADHD or behavioral issues.
Our Approach: We carefully assess the frequency and intensity of symptoms, ruling out ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) or Bipolar Disorder to ensure your child gets the right behavioral and emotional support.
-
When food becomes a battleground for control, identity, or emotion.
Disordered eating often isn't about food at all—it's about coping with difficult emotions.
Preoccupation: Obsessive thoughts about weight, calories, or body image.
Control Behaviors: Restrictive eating, bingeing, or purging cycles.
Secretive Shame: Guilt around meals or eating in private.
BonPsy Insight: Eating disorders are complex mental health conditions where food is used to manage painful feelings. They often co-occur with anxiety, OCD, or trauma.
Our Approach: We assess the psychological and behavioral patterns behind the eating disorder. Our evaluations clarify the diagnosis to help providers tailor interventions that address both the physical symptoms and the emotional drivers.
-
Struggling in school doesn’t mean you aren’t capable.
A learning disability is often a gap between high intelligence and academic performance.
Specific Struggles: Trouble with reading (Dyslexia), math (Dyscalculia), or writing despite effort.
Processing Speed: Difficulty following multi-step instructions or keeping up in class.
Academic Anxiety: Low self-esteem strictly related to school performance.
BonPsy Insight: Learning disabilities are neurological differences in how the brain processes information. They are not related to intelligence or laziness.
Our Approach: We identify your specific learning profile. We help distinguish learning disabilities from ADHD, guiding you toward IEP/504 accommodations and support tools that actually work.
-
When retention, recall, or comprehension feel out of reach.
Cognitive testing explores the "how" and "why" of your brain's processing speed and storage.
Recall Issues: Difficulty remembering recent conversations or instructions.
Organization: Trouble organizing thoughts or learning new material.
Brain Fog: Frequent forgetfulness in daily tasks that impacts work or school.
The Clinical Insight: Memory issues can stem from various sources, including ADHD, anxiety, aging, or post-COVID cognitive effects.
Our Approach: We identify how your brain processes and stores information. Whether you're struggling academically or noticing cognitive changes, we assess memory, attention, and learning style to guide support strategies.
-
When intrusive thoughts and rituals take over daily life.
OCD is not just about being "tidy"—it is a cycle of distressing thoughts and repetitive behaviors designed to neutralize them.
Obsessions: Unwanted, intrusive thoughts or fears (contamination, harm, mistakes).
Compulsions: Repetitive behaviors (checking, counting, washing) performed to reduce anxiety.
Mental Rituals: Feeling like you must "think" a certain way to prevent something bad from happening.
BonPsy Insight: OCD is characterized by the "doubt disorder"—the brain sends false alarm signals that feel incredibly real, demanding certainty where there is none.
Our Approach: We distinguish OCD from general anxiety or perfectionism (OCPD). This distinction is vital, as the treatment for OCD (ERP therapy) is different from standard talk therapy.
-
When patterns in thinking and relating feel stuck or self-sabotaging.
Personality disorders involve long-standing patterns of inner experience and behavior that deviate from cultural expectations.
Relational Friction: Intense, unstable, or detached relationships.
Emotional Intensity: Difficulty managing emotions or boundaries.
Identity Confusion: Chronic feelings of emptiness or a shifting sense of self.
BonPsy Insight: These are deeply ingrained ways of viewing the world, often developed as coping mechanisms early in life that are no longer working.
Our Approach: We explore personality structure, coping styles, and relational dynamics. We help clarify diagnoses (such as Narcissistic, Avoidant, or Histrionic Personality Disorders) to guide care that addresses the deeper patterns beneath the symptoms.
-
Ensuring resilience in high-stakes professions. For police officers, firefighters, and first responders, psychological stability is a matter of public safety and personal survival.
Pre-Employment Screening: Assessing judgment, stress tolerance, and integrity before hiring.
Fitness for Duty: Evaluating if an officer is psychologically ready to return to work after a critical incident or behavioral issue.
Trauma Resilience: Identifying underlying PTSD or burnout that may compromise decision-making.
The Clinical Insight: Public safety roles require a unique psychological profile—high resilience, low impulsivity, and the ability to compartmentalize trauma. Testing ensures that the individual can handle the weight of the badge without breaking. Our Approach: We understand the unique culture of law enforcement and first responders. We provide rigorous, guideline-compliant evaluations (such as POST standards) that balance the safety of the community with the career rights of the individual.
-
Surgery treats the body, but recovery relies on the mind.
Many surgical procedures, such as weight loss surgery or spinal cord stimulation implants, require a psychological clearance to ensure the best possible outcome.
Readiness Assessment: Evaluating your understanding of the procedure and lifestyle changes required.
Coping Strategy: Identifying how you handle stress or chronic pain without falling back on old habits.
Expectation Management: Ensuring you have a realistic view of the recovery process and results.
The Clinical Insight: This is not a test to see if you are "crazy." It is a preventative measure to identify risk factors—such as emotional eating or untreated depression—that could hinder your surgical success or pain relief.
Our Approach: We work collaboratively with your surgeon to provide the required clearance. Our goal isn't to be a barrier, but to identify the psychological strengths you can rely on during your recovery journey.
-
Trauma doesn’t fade—it embeds itself in your nervous system.
PTSD is the body continuing to react to a danger that has already passed.
Intrusion: Flashbacks, nightmares, or unwanted memories.
Hypervigilance: Being easily startled or constantly scanning for danger.
Numbness: Feeling emotionally detached or unable to experience joy.
BonPsy Insight: Trauma changes the brain's biology, keeping the body in a state of high alert. It can result from a single event or chronic exposure (Complex PTSD).
Our Approach: We explore how trauma affects cognition, mood, and behavior. We help identify PTSD and differentiate it from anxiety or depression, guiding trauma-informed care with clarity and precision.
-
Navigating the complex emotional landscape of creating a family. Assisted reproduction involves profound emotional and psychological considerations for everyone involved—the intended parents, the donor/surrogate, and the future child.
Informed Consent: ensuring a deep understanding of the lifelong implications of donation or surrogacy.
Emotional Stability: assessing current mental health and resilience to handle the medical process.
Motivation: exploring the "why" behind the decision to donate or carry a pregnancy.
The Clinical Insight: Following ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) guidelines, these evaluations protect the well-being of all parties. They ensure that donors and surrogates are psychologically prepared for the medical procedures and the complex feelings that may arise post-birth.
Our Approach: We provide a sensitive, thorough assessment that meets agency and clinic requirements. We focus on ethical standards and emotional readiness to ensure a safe and positive experience for all.
Transparent, Flat-Fee Pricing
We believe in complete financial transparency. You will never receive a surprise bill from us. Our flat rates cover every aspect of the evaluation process—from the first hello to the final report.
-
Adoption Readiness Evaluations
Helping you build your family with confidence. Whether adopting internationally or domestically, agencies often require a psychological evaluation to ensure prospective parents are emotionally prepared for the unique journey of adoption.
Emotional Stability: Assessing resilience to handle the stresses of the adoption process.
Parenting Preparedness: Discussing expectations vs. the reality of raising an adopted child.
Relationship Strength: Evaluating the stability of the couple’s partnership (if applicable).
The Clinical Insight: Adoption brings unique challenges, including attachment issues and identity formation. This evaluation identifies strengths and potential areas where a family might need extra support post-placement.
Our Approach: We provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space to discuss your history and hopes. We tailor our reports to meet the specific strict requirements of your adoption agency or country of interest.
Flat Rate: $3,200 (Per Couple) / $2,000 (Individual) (Includes: Individual & Joint Interviews, Psychological Testing, and Agency-Compliant Report.)
-
🧩 Autism Spectrum Module
Specific assessments to evaluate developmental history, social communication, and sensory processing.
Add-On Price:$1,200
Why is this an Add-On?
Autism symptoms frequently overlap with ADHD, anxiety, and sensory processing issues. To ensure an accurate diagnosis, we must first conduct the Standard Cognitive & Clinical Exam to rule out other causes before confirming Autism Spectrum Disorder. This module cannot be booked as a standalone service.
Important Note: We do not administer the ADOS-2. If your school district or program specifically requires the ADOS-2 instrument, please verify before scheduling.
-
3. Geriatric Capacity & Competency Evaluations
Protecting dignity and legacy in the face of aging. As memory fades, families often face difficult questions about safety and finances. We provide the objective data needed for conservatorships, estate planning, or updated care plans.
Decision Making: Can the individual understand the consequences of signing a will or trust?
Vulnerability: Are they susceptible to undue influence or financial scams?
Daily Safety: Is it safe for them to live alone or manage their own medication?
The Clinical Insight: "Competency" is a legal term, while "Capacity" is the clinical finding we provide. A diagnosis of dementia does not automatically mean someone lacks capacity; specific testing is required to determine what they can and cannot do.
Our Approach: We conduct a sensitive, respectful evaluation of cognitive decline and functional ability. Our reports are designed to stand up to legal scrutiny for elder law attorneys and family courts.
Flat Rate: $3,500 (Includes: Review of Medical Records, Collateral Interviews with Family, In-Person Cognitive Testing, and Forensic Report.)
-
Career & Vocational Assessment
Stop guessing at your future—use data to find your path. Perfect for high school graduates, "failure to launch" young adults, or professionals seeking a pivot. We match your brain's natural wiring to a career you will actually enjoy.
Aptitude: What are you naturally good at? (Math, spatial reasoning, verbal persuasion).
Interests: What topics keep you engaged for hours?
Personality: Do you thrive in high-stress teams or quiet, independent workspaces?
The Clinical Insight: Career satisfaction is highest when your job aligns with your cognitive style and personality traits. Mismatch leads to burnout.
Our Approach: We combine cognitive testing (to find strengths) with strong interest inventories. You walk away with a concrete list of college majors or career paths that fit your profile.
Flat Rate: $2,200 (Includes: Intake, Cognitive & Vocational Testing, Interest Inventory Analysis, and "Roadmap" Feedback Session.)
-
Court-ordered or private evaluations regarding parenting capacity and the best interests of the child.
Flat Fee: $10,500
This is a highly complex, multi-week forensic investigation involving multiple parties, home observations (if applicable), and extensive record review.
-
Gifted & Talented (IQ) Testing $1200
When "school is too easy" becomes a problem of its own. High intellectual potential often comes with its own set of challenges, from boredom in class to "asynchronous development" (where intellect outpaces emotional maturity).
Curiosity: An intense need to understand "why" and "how" things work.
Boredom: Disengaging from schoolwork because the pace is too slow.
Sensitivity: Heightened emotional reactions or perfectionism.
The Clinical Insight: Giftedness is not just "being smart"; it is a neurological difference in how the brain processes information. Without the right academic challenge, gifted children are at risk for anxiety or behavioral issues.
Our Approach: We administer gold-standard IQ tests (such as the WISC-V or WPPSI-IV) to document cognitive strengths. This report is essential for private school admissions, GATE, MENSA, program appeals, or simply understanding your child's learning needs.
-
2. Immigration Hardship Evaluations
Providing the psychological evidence your legal case needs. Immigration proceedings are incredibly stressful. A psychological evaluation can be a critical piece of evidence in proving "extreme hardship" for waivers (I-601), U-Visas, or VAWA cases.
Trauma Documentation: Validating the psychological impact of past persecution or crime.
Family Impact: detailed assessment of how deportation would devastatingly affect a U.S. citizen spouse or child.
Clinical Diagnosis: Identifying PTSD, depression, or anxiety resulting from your legal status.
The Clinical Insight: In immigration court, a diagnosis alone is not enough. The evaluation must connect the mental health symptoms directly to the potential legal outcome (e.g., deportation) to meet the legal standard of "hardship." Our Approach: We work closely with your immigration attorney to provide a comprehensive, objective forensic report. We treat these clients with immense cultural sensitivity and care.
Flat Rate: $2,500 (Includes: Extensive Clinical Interview, Trauma Assessment, Collaboration with Attorney, and Detailed Forensic Report.)
-
